We edited and corrected various messages of Quality Reporter. As a result, Allplan is more stable and reliable.
Allplan runs faster due to various means.
Note: Workgroup online will no longer be available in Allplan 2021 and later. Instead, you can purchase Allplan Share, which has been available since Allplan 2018.
You can use the “Match parameters” tool (pipette) again to apply the properties of an object to other objects of different kinds.
You can use the “Convert filesets to building structure” option again to turn the fileset structure of an existing project into a building structure.
In certain cases, the building structure could take long to open and close. We solved this problem.
The “Export HPGL File, Bitmap File” tool exports data correctly to HPGL 2 format if this data consists of a pattern line that is drawn as a polyline and this pattern line is intersected by a layout window in the layout.
The editor opens faster if you want to change texts.
After you have switched roles, the new role remains the current one, even if you select a tool in a fixed task area that is available in all roles.
The program automatically creates a backup of the drawing file in the Bimplus cloud when you select “Save All” or change the drawing file status in the building structure from “current” or “edit mode” to “reference mode”.
Different users can correctly create, rename, and delete a plane model in a project.
File attachments deleted from Allplan Share projects are no longer visible in Bimplus File Explorer.
Even if the computer is checked out, you can create a zipped project backup by selecting “Create project backup” on the shortcut menu of a project in the “New Project, Open Project” dialog box.
When you transform Gauss-Krüger coordinates to UTM coordinates while importing DWG data, the transformation considers elements such as texts of the MText type or hatching blocks.
We enhanced IFC import and IFC export in various places.
IFC import correctly imports Allplan default attributes, such as “trade”. Allplan assigns these attributes automatically to components.
We enhanced IFC import of elements with openings of BREP geometry.
Allplan imports an IfcFooting element of the STRIP_FOOTING type as a strip foundation.
We enhanced the calculation of openings during import.
IFC export transfers an Allplan Share project with its real project name.
When you choose to split multilayer components (wall, finish, roof) for export, the program transfers the (classification) attributes that are assigned to the individual layers.
We updated the exchange profile for exporting data to California; the exchange profile considers the “story” filter.
An Allplan story whose layer is “invisible” will be exported with its correct position as an IfcBuildingElementStorey.
When you select the “support corbel” connection type in the parameters for the stair carriage, the stair modeler uses the thickness of the slab again.
The layer for the 3D representation of the riser can again be selected freely or changed later.
You can enter six decimal places for the “lambda_value” attribute (IFC group of attributes).
Views and sections
Views and sections correctly display bars shortened due to the rounding of acute angles.
You can create reinforcement in views and sections only if the reinforcement layer is “visible” in the layer filter.
When displaying smart symbols in isometric view, views and sections consider only smart symbol foils for which the “3D” option is selected.
You can enter negative values for concrete covers at the start and end in the “Sweep Bars Along Path” tool.
You can enter negative values for projecting longitudinal bars in the “Extrude Bars Along Path” and “Sweep Bars Along Path” tools.
The format properties of the leader do not change when you copy a point placement created in 2D and then modify the placing regions of both placements by using “Stretch Entities”.
Placements created in detailing windows get correct group numbers again.
When you change the display mode of a placement in rotation from “Show middle bar only” to “Show all bars”, the program displays all bars in accordance with the settings in the options.
When you use “Convert, Match Elements” to match bar shapes from another drawing file, the program no longer links the drawing files.
When you work with the “ACI” standard, the schema correctly rounds off the segment lengths to the unit selected in the metric system.
When you rotate reinforcing bars about their own axes, existing couplers rotate too. When, for example, you use rectangular T-heads for anchorage, you can thus display the required installation position.
DT placement comes with more functions. You can specify mandatory joints at the placing points, define a washer for the placing region, and enter the stem lengths independently of the upper slab. In addition, you can define support panels at stem ends.
Structural precast elements
When you change an attribute, the program correctly updates labels of structural precast elements, even if the label style analyzes new attributes (ID > 32000).

We enhanced the user interface and program in various places.
Certain smart symbols can be exploded.
After you have exported the “Finish floors.rdlc”, “Finish ceilings.rdlc”, and “Finish vertical surfaces.rdlc” reports to Excel by means of the “Export Quantity Data” tool, you can change these reports in Excel and reimport them to Allplan.
