Flat hierarchy: you can save all types of library elements (symbol, smart symbol, SmartPart) to a single folder.
Libraries in all paths (default, project, private and office) have flat hierarchies.
Symbols and smart symbols are saved as single files in SYM format and NMK format, respectively.
Symbols in ZSY symbol catalog files of earlier versions were separated into single symbol files in SYM format.
Smart symbols in OM* smart symbol catalog files of earlier versions were separated into single smart symbol files in NMK format.
You can save symbols and smart symbols with resources.
The basic tools - create, rename, copy, paste and delete - are now consistent.
The 'text symbol' hierarchical level is no longer available; text symbols from earlier versions are converted to symbols.
Small icons and symbols help you identity library elements quickly and easily in the palette.

If the path of a group or folder is too long, Allplan issues a warning.
While searching, you can enter additional letters, thus narrowing down the choice.

You can no longer select the language for default symbols in the Services application. Allplan automatically adjusts the symbol names when you switch to a different language.
While searching, Allplan does not display the full path names.

The new objects palette (object navigator) lists all elements and objects in all currently selected drawing files (current, edit mode, reference mode).

The new objects palette lets you zoom in on objects in the workspace.
Four sorting criteria are predefined: sort by building structure, sort by drawing file, sort by layer and sort by material.

When rendering with CineRender, you can use the 'Ambient occlusion' rendering method with various settings.
Using the 'Merge' or 'Add' tool in CINEMA 4D, you can update your Allplan model.
When rendering with CineRender, Allplan correctly processes certain bitmap formats.
Allplan internally uses the 'Photometric intensity' option for rendering all types of light. This produces realistic result, in particular, when you use the 'Area' light type for indoor lighting.
The 'RTRender' view type offers the new, easy-to-use 'White model' setting for paper models.
When you select the 'Quality' stop criterion for the 'RTRender' view type, Allplan shows the progress as a percentage (instead of a time indicator). The percentage indicator is more precise.
When you interrupt the 'RTRender' calculation, Allplan will indicate this at the bottom of the viewport.
Problems with displaying superimposed transparent objects in animation were eliminated by OpenGL 4.2 in conjunction with nVidia graphics cards and the current driver. (You can now superimpose up to 32 layers.)
Smooth movement: if Allplan cannot achieve the refresh rate set, if reduces the display quality of the model.
You can now drag textures straight from the browser to the 'Surfaces' palette. Similarly, you can drag bitmaps straight from the browser to the 'Surroundings' palette.
When using drag-and-drop operations for textures, Allplan marks the possible target buttons in the 'Surfaces' palette.

The 'Sketch' and 'Hidden' view types display the new 3D elements (polygonal or with curves).
The settings you make for hidden edges in the 'View type' palette for 'Animation' also apply to the new 3D elements.
Using the 'Options' - 'Rooms', you can specify whether you want to display finish elements in all view types or in shaded view types only (hidden, animation).
All shaded view types (hidden, animation, sketch) display selected elements in the selection color.
Visualization of complex 3D elements with arcs and curves is not blocked by tessellation; Allplan increases the quality step by step.
Using the 'Movie Model' tool ('File' menu - 'Import'), you can import and use movie models saved as *.FIL files in earlier versions.
Section Along Curve
You can show or hide drawing files and elements using a filter.
Allplan retains the position of the section when you hide elements.
You can create a frozen or associative representation of the section. Only the section is linked with the model.
You can also this tool to the new general 3D elements, too.
We added functionality to the shortcut menu of 'Section Along Curve'.
You can use the new 'Dimension Section' tool to dimension sections. You can find this new tool in the 'Bridge and Civil Engineering' module and on the shortcut menu.
Import LandXML Data
Using the 'Import LandXML Data' tool ('File' menu - 'Import'), you can import 3D terrain points and route location lines.
Allplan imports route location lines as composite elements.
An unnamed drawing file gets the name of the file.
BIM reinforcement attributes
Using object manager, you can assign any attributes to reinforcing bars and meshes placed, such a material, production as precast element or on site, construction stage and so on.
Allplan takes these attributes into account when exporting and importing IFC data.
You cannot assign attributes to reinforcement placed in SmartParts.
We adjusted general and engineering-specific modification tools.
We added functionality to the shortcut menu of reinforcement elements.
Structural Analysis View
You can find the new 'Structural Analysis View' export option in the settings for IFC export.
