Hotfix Allplan 2019-0-6
We edited and corrected various messages of Quality Reporter. As a result, Allplan is now more stable and reliable.
When you import a backup using the Services application, the program considers the country code for creating the new project.
You can now open Allplan Performance Diagnostics straight from the Services application too.
Drawing files and layouts
When you use the shortcut menu to select drawing files and their status, you can now assign the maximum number of drawing files.
The “Open on a Project-Specific Basis” dialog box does not close when you rename a drawing file and confirm this change by selecting the Enter key.
All elements of a drawing file are visible after you have embedded an OLE object.
Transparency of TIFF files in bitmap areas works just like in earlier versions.
We enhanced PDF export of layouts including associative views and sections with bitmap areas.
Under Windows 7, all icons are visible in Actionbar Configurator.
Various PythonParts are now easier to program and use.
PythonParts with reinforcement that were created in earlier Allplan versions are defined with the old views and sections. When you place such a PythonPart in a new section, Allplan no longer displays a message.
When you use panic hardware in window SmartParts or door SmartParts, Allplan always places these elements 2 cm from the outer edge of the casement or leaf, regardless of the settings for “Rabbet”.
After you have placed Window SmartParts that come with the program, Allplan displays these window SmartParts correctly.
By clicking the “Save” button, you save a new structural level in the layout structure of an Allplan Share project.
The “Stretch Entities” tool is faster when you modify layout elements with linked drawing files in layout editor.
When you create a new Allplan Share project with a project template or link such a project, Allplan creates the building structure correctly.
You can use Bimplus to create project backups of Allplan Share projects.
You can use the new “Download Reference Model from Bimplus” tool to download model data from a Bimplus project to Allplan. You can then use the data downloaded as a reference for your own planning work in Allplan.
Allplan downloads Bimplus data faster.
We enhanced precision for exporting Bimplus data from Allplan.
The Task Board displays all tasks from Bimplus in an existing project.
IFC 4 interface
This is important for exporting openings: BaseQuantities for areas and volumes of openings will be transferred as positive values, instead of negative values.
Roofs come with more BaseQuantities.
Allplan exports plumbing components within a room correctly to IFC even if the plumbing components include finish specifications.
We enhanced export of certain bar reinforcement via the new interface.
We enhanced IFC 4 import of finish specifications.
We enhanced import of certain grids.
We enhanced IFC 4 import of digital terrain models (DTM).
Allplan correctly imports coverings applied to sloping walls.
We enhanced CPIXML export of data in drawing files that are linked with other drawing files.
DWG import works properly again; DWG data including fills whose colors are defined “ByLayer” will be imported correctly to Allplan.
The “Match parameters” option in the “Height” dialog box works properly again, matching the height settings of walls created with fixed component heights.
When you create window SmartParts or door SmartParts, you can enter 0 for the width and depth of casements or leaves. For example, this is useful if you want to create glass sliding doors without frames.
We enhanced the way Allplan assigns component IDs to profile walls that you create by using the “Profile Wall” tool.
Material names in custom catalogs can be up to 18 characters long. The program displays longer names in a shortened form but labels and updates these names correctly.
The “Formwork - slabs (soffit).rdlc” report (“Trades” - “Concreting work” folder) works properly again, subtracting slab openings, walls and other objects correctly.
Certain reports analyze the model correctly when you work with Allplan IBD and Nevaris catalogs.
When you enter several rooms using the “Room” tool, the “Match parameters” option works properly again. So, you can match the parameters from, for example, a wizard or drawing file.
You can match attributes of objects in wizards that you created yourself.
Reports correctly analyze components that are attached across stories to planes of a plane model.
Regardless of how you add a roof plane to a plane model - be it by means of the “Planes” palette or the “Floor Manager” dialog box - you can use this roof plane in a drawing file without problem. A roof covering attached to this roof plane looks correct.
You can replace label styles that include polylines.
You can select a PythonPart by double-clicking it.
When you use IBD packages, the architecture filter now provides separate filters for the material and the code text, which is an IBD attribute.
The program finds general 3D objects delimited by curves (BREPs) more quickly when you select these objects by enclosing them in a selection rectangle.
You can use Allplan’s “Assign, Modify Object Attributes” tool to assign attributes in the “Allfa Sync” attribute group to FM rooms synchronized with Allfa. When you open the “Modify Room Attributes” tool, which is only available with Allfa Sync attributes, attributes of the TEXT type remain unchanged.
Smart symbols from country-specific office standards are available in the “Macro Item Mapping” tool in projects with the same country setting when the “Limit use of smart symbols to office standard” option is selected in the “Facility Management” options.
Views and sections
Gridlines remain unchanged when you copy drawing files in the building structure or via ProjectPilot.
You can add design entities to sections.
We enhanced working with invisible reinforcement layers; when you make the layers visible, Allplan displays all elements correctly.
You can use the new “Remove/Add Axes” tool to remove axes or 3D gridlines from views and sections or add axes or 3D gridlines to views and sections.
By turning off axes and gridlines in the model, you also turn them off in associative views and sections.
When you delete a view with bar reinforcement and this view is not in the same drawing file as the model, the program automatically deletes the mark placed in the model. The same applies to the associated schema.
When you create sections, Allplan considers the setting of axes or 3D gridlines even if you turn the axes on and off.
You can use “Modify Format Properties” again to change the group number of reinforcement.
When you use the “Place Bar Shape” - “Linear placement” tool to place a bending shape, you can match the placing line from an existing placement without problem.
When you modify the display mode of span reinforcement placed in polygon by selecting “Show selected bars as folded”, Allplan displays the reinforcement correctly.
When you label a bar shape and then modify this bar shape or extrude it along a path, the bar label looks correct.
Reinforcing bar schedules work properly again, analyzing “Custom text” created by the “Bar Label” tool and listing this text in the “Comments” column.
Legends correctly analyze bar shapes placed “per meter”.
Bars that you placed by matching the placing line from another placement can be modified again.
You can move individual bars of a placement in a section.
You can use the “Stretch Entities” tool to change the lengths of bars in views and sections.
After you have changed a bending shape in a view or section by using the “Stretch Entities” tool, the length updates correctly in the partial schema even if the partial schema is in another drawing file.
We enhanced the reloading of drawing files in the “Rearrange Marks” tool.
You can “Copy and Mirror” marks that you created by using the “Bar Shape” tool.
You can “Copy and Mirror” reinforcement that you placed in polygon by using the “Special Placements” tool.
When you use the “Copy and Paste, Rotate” tool to edit a placement, the brackets work correctly when you select bars by enclosing them in a selection rectangle and then exclude some elements from the selection by clicking them.
The “Mesh schedule - bending shapes” legend and the “Mesh reinforcement” report work properly again, displaying bending shapes of cut meshes.
Screw connections and couplers
We enhanced the way the program places Ancon position couplers.
Note: After you have installed this hotfix, this change is not available yet. To apply this change, you must download the full installation package of Allplan 2019-0-6 Release from Allplan Connect - Support - Downloads. When installing, you must select the “Custom” setup type and the “Ancon” entry in the “Manufacturer-specific office data” area.
Symbol fixtures that are placed along a line remain unchanged when you modify the line by, for example, using the “Stretch Entities” tool.
Due to the additional implementations, we enhanced and reorganized the user interface.
You can find the new “External boundaries” tool. When defining cross sections, you can use this tool to include arbitrary boundaries of other cross sections that you have already defined and to copy and arrange these boundaries in an easy manner. For example, think of modeling longitudinal stiffeners in steel cross-sections along the inner perimeter.
The “Property” window includes a new option for assigning a thickness to a boundary. This makes it easier for you to define thin-walled cross-sections.
You can find the new “Auto extrusion” option for boundaries. When you select this new option, boundaries automatically intersect other boundaries.
You can find two new tools for drawing parametric lines:
- “Parallel line by direction” (the distance can be measured in any direction (for example, vertically)
- “Line by relative angle” (angle relative to any line)
When drawing parametric lines by angle, you can now enter the angle also as a percentage (for example, for defining the crossfall of the cross section).
You can use the new variable of the “Angle in percent” type to define the tables to be assigned also as a percentage.
We added a new task for defining the construction phases. Using this new task, you can define and graphically simulate the construction phases of the bridge including all detailed work steps and tasks and present them in a Gantt chart (bar chart of the construction). When you export the geometrical model to Allplan, the information of the defined construction phases is considered by means of separate 3D solids.
Project Navigation includes the new “Materials” menu, where you can define standards, materials and material values. A connection to a database is scheduled for the version 2020-0 (October 2019).
You can find a new option for copying piers.
You can now import axes in LandXML format to Bimplus. These axes can be imported to Allplan Bridge.
Using the “Property” window in the view window of the 3D model, you can now define numerous options for displaying the particular objects.
The functionalities of layers were applied to further object types of the cross section.
The program library includes three new examples: reinforced plate with two circular voids, wildlife crossing, steel-concrete composite bridge with stiffeners
Analysis: Cross sections (technical preview)
Calculation of the cross-section properties of the cross sections defined in the project and graphical presentation of the shear stress distribution of the cross section or in arbitrary cuts of the cross section
Schemas include labels of all segment lengths even if the bending shapes are symmetrical.
We updated SmartParts for window sills.
