With Allplan, you can save time in the drawing design phase. Starting with the simple creation of a 3D model and the import of data from various formats provided by your design partners.

As soon as the 3D model is available, all the necessary views and sections for the different plan types such as general arrangement, structural and reinforcement drawings can be generated easily and efficiently. This allows you, for example, to quickly create a complete general arrangement drawing. If there are changes to the model at a later time, the views and sections are updated automatically. This leads to enormous time savings compared to a plan created in 2D.

The same applies to the structural drawing. Part of everyday work in an engineering office, is that changes have to be incorporated in the course of a project. With Allplan's easy-to-use associative views and sections, you can quickly create such a plan and thus visualise the entire structure comprehensively. Subsequently, changes to the model can be easily understood and the position of individual elements can be more easily recognised in the subsequent project phases.

Structural Drawings

While the general arrangement drawing covers the entire construction project, the structural drawing represents the next level of detail. The creation of accurate structural drawings is indispensable for the production of the concrete elements on the construction site. In the first step, the structural drawing should provide an overview of the exact geometry and dimensions of the concrete elements. On this basis, the structural drawing is carried out, in which the shape of the individual elements are determined. Reinforcement Drawings

The third and last step in our workflow series on engineering is the reinforcement design. It is carried out on the basis of the previously prepared structural drawings and ensures that the structural requirements for the structure are met. In reinforcement planning, the position, number, spacing, dimensions and bending of the reinforcement bars for the relevant components are specified and evaluated in the form of steel lists. In this way, detailed plans are created that are used by manufacturers for production and by building contractors for the correct installation.

In Allplan, the reinforcement is created as a 3D model. The positioning is created only once and then automatically adopted in all sections derived from it. This makes it particularly easy to either detect collisions visually or to identify them automatically via the collision check. Finally, precise steel lists are derived at the touch of a button via intelligent Allplan reports.
