The structural analysis software FRILO offers a variety of customized calculation programs that enable precise and component-oriented verification for various components, connections and structural systems. Thanks to the wide range of functions in structural analysis, FRILO supports structural engineers in reliably meeting the requirements of structural and foundation engineering.

PLUS programs

The PLUS programs from FRILO impress with a modern user interface, which ensures a great usability with the convenient input assistant and graphically interactive input. Even newcomers will find their way around after a short familiarization period thanks to the particularly intuitive operation. Because the system input is quick and easy, reliable and verifiable calculation results can be achieved quickly.

Building model

The GEO building model can be used to analyze buildings of reinforced concrete as complete structures with all structurally relevant components and loads. The vertical load transfer is calculated floor by floor from top to bottom on the basis of the stiffness of the individual floor levels. During the calculation, an FE analysis is carried out in the background at each story level. The support forces at the base of the load-transferring components are distributed evenly over the length of the component and transferred to a story below until no more stories are found and a foundation is generated automatically.

Slabs with finite elements

The PLT program calculates any slab structures using the finite element method. The powerful graphical user interface enables fast and efficient processing of the complex calculation model thanks to numerous functions. Any floor plans with straight and curved edges as well as recesses can be modeled. Reinforced concrete slabs inn are analyzedas slabs with all structurally relevant material-related components and loads. Foundations and slabs and a mixture of both components can be provided. The calculation of foundations is carried out using the subgrade reaction modulus method.

Continuous beams

The DLT+ program can be used to calculate single-span and multi-span beams for reinforced concrete, steel and timber with an unlimited number of spans, with or without cantilevers. Cross-sections can be constant or variable. Joints are also possible. In addition to the visually adapted user interface, simplified operation, a clear and detailed customizable output, the program offers a completely revised interactive reinforcement layout.

Framework

The RSX program calculates the internal forces and support forces for general framestructures as a planar (2D) or optionally spatial (3D) system. The graphical input with templates and wizards quickly provides an analyzeable system. The initial values for a design for steel, timber, reinforced concrete or aluminum are provided with the fully automatic superposition. Natural frequencies and mode shapes can be calculated for dynamic analyses.

BIM-Connector

With the FRILO BIM-Connector®, structural engineers can import 3D building models created in CAD software as IFC or SAF files into the FRILO environment. After the import, the model can be edited in the BIM-Connector. Volume elements are converted into beam and shell elements and the model is reduced to its load-bearing components at the touch of a button. The model idealized for the structural analysis can then be transferred to the building model, where the load transfer is determined.

 

Document Designer

FRILO's Document Designer optimizes the management, integration and processing of output documents by combining all items of the FRILO programs used in the project in one overall document on a PDF basis - compact, convenient and clear. The time required to compile the structural analysis is reduced to a minimum, as the program takes over the tedious merging of the numerous output documents for the user.
