Building Modeling

  • Freeform stair modeler: Allows architects, designers & engineers to create custom stair designs with variable widths, curved or polygonal contours, and steps with variable dimensions. This tool will provide greater flexibility for architects and designers to create unique, aesthetically pleasing, and functional stair designs, addressing trends in building alterations, renovations, and also new constructions.
  • Multilayer Foundation Slab: ALLPLAN 2026 offers multilayer support for foundation slabs, enhancing detailing and execution planning to design sustainable buildings. The new multilayer handling saves time and simplifies workflows, reducing complex and time-consuming workarounds, offering unified creation & modification workflows via property palette.

Information Modeling & Management

  • Support for buildingSMART Data Dictionary (bSDD): Enhance data standardization and improve interoperability in construction projects. This feature will allow planners to import predefined sets of attributes from over 300 available bSDD dictionaries, covering extensions to IFC standard: areas like electrical planning, airport planning, sustainability and many more, but also country-specific extensions. Workflow facilitate more effective communication, decrease errors, and enable better-informed decision-making during planning and construction phase and helps with effective BIM adoption, eliminating the need of manual configuration.
  • Georeferencing: Allows users to accurately position their projects in real-world coordinates using Survey point and Base point definitions including their graphical representation. Georeferencing support improves collaboration between different disciplines and ensure proper alignment of project components in BIM workflows.

Interoperability & Collaboration Workflows

  • Reference IFC files from cloud (BIMPLUS): Allows users to insert new type of XRef - Cloud reference. These are IFC files, stored as document in ALLPLAN cloud collaboration platform, BIMPLUS, improving file management and collaboration in complex BIM projects.
  • Geopackage data exchange: Aligning with the INSPIRE framework for EU spatial data infrastructure. This feature will enable urban planners and architects to import & export project data in the GIS-compatible Geopackage format, which is becoming mandatory in some EU countries.
  • Preoptima integration: Integrated workflow with Preoptima CONCEPT, Cloud based early optioneering tool, allows to exchange mass (early concept) models to easily and accurately perform real-time whole-life carbon assessments (WLCAs) and carbon optioneering, enabling architects, designers and residential developers to make carbon-informed decisions from the earliest stages of design, contributing to more sustainable building designs.

  • Graphic Override: A comprehensive feature allows users to apply visual changes to model and plan elements based on properties and aligning with existing options like Drawing Types and Object Palette.
  • Light/Dark mode: Light Mode - a modern flat design with improved clarity and readability. Gradients have been replaced by solid colors for a cleaner and consistent look.   • Context Menu 2.0: Clear and organized layout, dividing the context menu into a toolbar and a list of functions, displayed shortcuts, repeat function with multiple items, UI technology has been modernized, paving the way for future enhancements.
  • New ALLPLAN Frame: Subtle but effective visual improvement that brings ALLPLAN in line with our broader product ecosystem, making it instantly recognizable. ALLPLAN header ribbon change brings a more unified and polished look, besides the logo and the ALLPLAN name, the frame also displays the version you have installed.

Improved features & Workflows

Building Modeling

  • BIM-compliant Rooms & Finishes: Improved detailing, performance, and consistency of Rooms and their finishes. Improved handling includes representation of vertical finishes layers in models, floorplans, sections, and introducing priority-based connections for finish layers. These abilities ensures higher level of details and accuracy, minimizing errors and costly rework. New filter for managing finishes and optimized finish calculation helps planners to save valuable time during design changes and project updates especially for complex projects.
  • Custom Component - support priority-based connection (PBC) in BIM model: Custom Component (former User Defined Arch. component) support interactions between custom-modeled building components and native building components (such as walls, columns, and slabs), as well as between different custom objects. Helps planners with accurate modeling of even complex shapes and interaction automation reduces manual work, minimizes errors, and supports efficient planning, resulting in higher-quality BIM models and more successful project delivery.
  • Optimized Wall workflows: Modernized and unified property palette for creation and modification of walls, including Geometrical properties aims to flatten the learning curve for new users and improve efficiency for experienced users by providing a consistent interface across different object types.
  • Multilayer slabs and foundation slabs: Introducing new features such as direction of change control and interactive previews for the slab components to get easier navigation and precise control over the component design. These enhancements will make the modeling and modification of slabs more efficient and user-friendly, supporting more advanced use-cases for engineering and architectural offices.
  • Ceiling system improvements: Users can now assign various 2D faces to each ceiling element, making it easier to distinguish between various types in the ceiling plan. Section views are clearer, as cut ceiling components have a format setting in the sections. When room outlines change, a new update feature adjusts the ceiling system outline. These improvements are designed to streamline and enhance efficiency in ceiling plan creation.
  • Structural Framing modeling improvements include new snap points functionality for quick and correct steel elements creation. This functionality allows customers to create correct automated connections. There is also new element representations such as purlins and structural framing system. The update aims to improve collaboration between architects, engineers, and fabricators.
  • Structural Framing Assemblies now feature Automated Connections, establishing associated relationships between structural framing elements and automated connections. This enhancement improves workflow efficiency when executing design changes - automated connections are always up to date.
  • Provision for Void - wall openings now delivers significant performance improvements, making calculations up to 180 times faster for specific use cases, supporting designers in effective and automated creation of voids in complex projects.

Information Modeling & Management

  • Adjustable Information Palette: A new generation of efficient and versatile information management brings advanced adjustability features like grouping, totals calculations, IDS validation, catalog support, enhanced palette navigation, new sorting options, a redesigned UI/UX, improved filtering, and top-tier performance. The upgraded Information Palette in ALLPLAN 2026 gives users all these powerful tools, making it easy to organize, access, and update exactly the information they need, right when they need it. The result? Less time searching, more time creating, and a major boost in productivity. This leads to greater planning reliability and significant time savings throughout project delivery.
  • IDS (Information Delivery Specification) based rules: Transforming IDS support from technical preview to full support with further enhancements for the IDS file format, including automatic Attribute Set adoption will help automate the delivery of the right information and ensure high-quality data within digitalized models, supporting better collaboration and compliance with BIM project requirements.
  • Streamlined usage of Smart Catalogs: Improving the user experience when using extensive catalogs created in Smart Catalog Editor. This update includes several improvements, including enhanced search capabilities, expand/collapse functionality and more, for streamlined information modeling tasks.

Interoperability & Collaboration Workflows

  • Improved XREF Manager & External referencing: Enhanced Xref Manager with referenced IFC preview has new tools for file management such as replace, filter, file selection. Optimized handling and storing of external references as well as support for referenced IFC files from BIMPLUS, providing users with a more comprehensive overview and effective management of external documents used in their projects, enables arch. and engineering offices to improve collaboration, data management complexities and ensure up-to-date project data, leading to faster project outcomes and delivery.
  • IFC4 Import improvements: Multilayer slabs and further adjustments for IFC4 standards, aimed to improve the quality and reliability of imported IFC data, strengthen ALLPLAN's OpenBIM capabilities and ensure better interoperability with other BIM software.

Gerneral

  • Multi-letter keyboard shortcuts: ALLPLAN 2026 introduces highly anticipated multi-letter keyboard shortcuts, allowing users to assign and use two- and three-letter shortcuts (with or without modifiers) for even faster tool activation and workflow efficiency. For example, you can now use ‘DO’ for Door Opening or SHIFT+LA for Label, dramatically expanding shortcut possibilities beyond the previous single-letter limitation. Additionally, transparency settings for objects in the Animation view can now be accessed directly via the context menu, and these transparency functions can also be assigned to keyboard shortcuts for instant application. The Object Palette now includes more hard-coded keyboard shortcuts directly assigned to its functions. These enhancements deliver a significant productivity boost, especially for power users who rely on keyboard-driven workflows.
  • Context Menu: The improved context menu makes general tools more accessible, reduces learning time.
  • Offline licensing: Solution will be implemented for high-security clients, addressing key account requests and potentially allowing retirement of the Wibu system for certain clients.

Prefabrication Workflows

New features & workflows

  • Automated Dimensioning has been introduced to streamline the drawing creation process. This feature automatically adds associative dimension lines to views and sections, significantly reducing the time required for detailing.
  • Local views and sections: Enables focused planning and detailing on specific elements, independent of the overall model.
  • Element Layout: Automates creation of local views, sections, legends, text blocks, and plan frames for all components with a local coordinate system using customizable templates.
  • Reinforcement Visibility: Allows selective display or suppression of reinforcement in concrete for more detailed or simplified plans.
  • Quantity take-offs: Price lists can now be attached directly to precast elements, improving evaluation and export options including upload to BIMPLUS and IFC Exports.

Improved features & workflows

  • Mark Numbering: Now supports hierarchical numbers, user-defined schemas, and flexible rearrangement.
  • Filigree slab enhancements: Automatic placement of displacement bodies with flexible spacing and easy adjustments near columns.

Engineering Workflows

New features & workflows

  • The free-form reinforcement along a surface can be linked to the selected surfaces during creation using the tool Place Bars along Surface. As soon as the associated 3D objects are edited (moved, rotated, mirrored or deleted), the reinforcement is also adjusted, regardless of whether the reinforcement was loaded in edit mode at the time of the change or not.
  • A 'Reinforcement to Field' initiative is underway to enable fully digital, drawing-less workflows for reinforced concrete structures. This includes creation of bar shapes in isometric views, improvements for attribute handling, and more efficient collision management for large numbers of rebars.
  • Direct object modification capabilities for bar shapes: Allow users to select and modify bar shapes directly using point handles, geometry handles or edit fields without needing to learn multiple separate functions. The improvements aim to increase productivity, especially for new users.
  • Clash Management were introduced to identify, analyze and resolve clashes across various object types. Key features will include a clash detection dialogue, clash configurator, object selection capabilities, and the information palette for managing clash groups and statuses.

Improved features & workflows

  • The Automated Wall Reinforcement has been enhanced with layer priority options for the main reinforcement and more precise control for reinforcement creation as well as better association with parent objects. These change makes the tool more flexible, allowing you to use it for all type of walls and user-friendly. The Automated Column Reinforcement has become significantly more powerful and flexible. This not only increases the range of options available in ALLPLAN but also makes the transfer of reinforcement layouts from our analysis and design software, FRILO, smoother and more reliable.
  • The circular reinforcement improvements allow more precise reinforcement detailing of complex circular structures. The parameters are saved with their exact values, this is particularly noticeable when using imperial units, as even fractions of an inch are still present for modification.
  • US market adoption for Engineering: Includes improvements for precast workflows, and enhancements to welded reinforcement capabilities. Imperial unit display and calculation issues are also being addressed to improve ALLPLAN's suitability for US-based projects.

Construction Workflows

  • The input for Sheet Pile Walls workflow now supports corner profile selection, allowing greater flexibility and precision in wall modeling.

Infrastructure Workflows

New features & workflows ALLPLAN Civil

  • A new 3D Layers feature has been added to ALLPLAN Civil, extending the current functionality for cross-sections to 3D parametric objects. This enhancement improves organization, clarity, and productivity in complex designs.
  • Support for the Indian design code has been extended with the introduction of time-dependent analysis, including creep, shrinkage, and relaxation. This is an important step toward enabling realistic long-term simulations.
  • Dark mode theme has been introduced, providing a visually comfortable alternative for working in low-light environments. This enhancement reduces eye strain, supports longer design sessions, and improves overall focus by offering a modern, distraction-free interface theme.
  • A new support type, the bedding element, has been introduced to simulate realistic support conditions by modeling the elastic interaction between the structure and its surrounding medium. This enhancement improves stress and displacement accuracy, enables soil-structure interaction, and prevents overconstraining the model.
  • Modeling capabilities for tunnels have been enhanced with cross-section extensions, including a new type of parametric lines for circles, and arcs. This improvement enables efficient cross-section design.
  • The geometrical/physical model can now be transferred directly to BIMPLUS, increasing the acceptance of BIMPLUS as an exchange and collaboration platform. This feature enables easier sharing of bridge models with other stakeholders and improves data exchange in early design phases.

Improved features & workflows ALLPLAN Civil

  • Building structure extensions for Infrastructure projects have been implemented, reflecting ALLPLAN's expanded scope beyond buildings. The new structure includes nodes for 'Infra' and 'Part', better supporting roads, bridges, tunnels, and other linear structures.
  • The workflow between ALLPLAN Civil and ALLPLAN has been streamlined with improvements such as improved ALLPLAN Share integration and support for visually scripted PythonParts. These enhancements aim to improve the connection between the products and provide a better user experience.
  • The parametric Cross-Section modeling in ALLPLAN Civil has been significantly enhanced with new features such as multi-element selection, visual trimming, and new parametric line types. These improvements aim to streamline the cross-section definition process and address numerous user requests.
  • The Precast Girder Bridge Workflow has been extended with new features including lateral stability analysis of prestressed beams, improved automatic grillage generation with automatic reinforcement generation and variability of reinforcement. These enhancements aim to provide a more comprehensive solution for precast girder bridge design.
  • Eurocode Dutch and Belgian Annexes have been implemented for the assessment of reinforced and prestressed concrete cross-sections. This addition ensures compliance with national design codes and improves the software's relevance in these markets.

New features & workflows ALLPLAN Road And DTM

  • A unified DTM (Digital Terrain Model) has been implemented, consolidating multiple technologies into a single, streamlined functionality. This unification aims to improve user experience, reduce confusion, and enhance overall product quality.
  • The DTM processing has been further improved with features such as free creation of terrain points, single point editing, break line marking, and refinement of terrain points at user-defined grids. In addition, existing functions have been expanded, resulting in significant improvements in terrain processing. For example, it is now possible to easily undo or restore terrain adjustment steps. All these enhancements aim to streamline DTM functionality and improve user experience.
  • ALLPLAN Road now features parametric road intersections, enabling automatic detection and connection of intersecting roads. The geometry of the intersection funnels can now be defined more flexibly and adapted to the boundary conditions. This enhancement significantly reduces modeling time and error sources in road intersection design.
  • Parametric roundabout generation capabilities have been added, supporting basic workflows for roundabout design. This includes the creation of closed axes (circle, ellipse, or free form) with equal start and end station.

CLOUD Focus

Bimplus

New features & workflows

  • Introducing the new Bluebeam-BIMPLUS seamless integration, allowing users to create a direct connection with Bluebeam Studio (currently restricted to US servers only, from August 2025 also for European node) and access any documents within BIMPLUS in the BIM Portal Documents Management section.
  • Enhanced the Add Document feature to support importing documents from ALLPLAN Exchange.
  • Introducing the extension of export functionality to the GLB format in both the BIM Portal and BIM Explorer.
  • Introducing support for importing IFC 4.3 files.
  • Introducing Frame Selection to activate multiple objects by drawing a frame in BIM Explorer using CTRL + right click or SHIFT + left click of mouse.
  • Introducing SAF file upload (Structural Analysis Format) directly in the Models section of the BIM Portal. Alongside this feature, a new MS Excel SAF application is being released, enabling direct modification and synchronization of SAF data within the Excel environment.

Improved features & workflows

  • Support of SketchUp files Version 2024 for import in BIMPLUS.
  • Improvement to the Issue Manager: Incoming email notifications when the comment section is modified, as well as minor visual updates to the email templates.
  • Introducing the new integrated Team Members Management page in BIM Portal, which replaces the former team management in shop. This page offers more streamlined workflows to team administrators.
  • Applying new License Assignment policy: To ensure permit to access BIMPLUS, an Org Admin must assign the license to the user via the new ALLPLAN Connect interface. This prevents unauthorized license assignment by simple invitation to a project.
  • New Cloud Licensing: Assigned license for ALLPLAN Cloud / BIMPLUS is a personal license and valid in any team and project, where the user is invited.
  • BIMPLUS Basic Retirement: Free BIMPLUS Basic is replaced by a trial license.

Connect

  • AI Assistant: AI powered virtual assistant that understands your questions and provides back expert guidance based on our product base.
  • Cross Section Catalog: Access to our catalog of structural sections in order to better visualise and review section data as used in all our products.

Third Party Developer Focus

New features & workflows

  • Plugin Manager: A new way to install, update and uninstall ALLEP plugins easily. It also shows all available plugins available from our plugin hub.

Improved features & workflows

  • ALLEP package: It supports more types of content, including design assets, report templates, visual scripting nodes and content connector providers. Package structure is also simplified to make it flexible for developers.
  • PythonPart palette: It is completely overhauled with better performance and additional features like nested expanders, resizing images and dark mode support.
  • Content Connector: It now accepts new products to be added by 3rd party via the new ALLEP package. SKP file is also not needed, once a PythonPart object is generated.
  • More common elements are now better supported, such as architectural elements, reinforcement labeling, UVS, linear dimension & elevation line etc.
