Both companies want to stimulate innovation in the construction industry, in continuous
search of cost-effective solutions and productivity enhancements. ArcelorMittal, through
ArcelorMittal Steel Solutions & Services and the Commercial Sections division, is leading
in material improvements and building components based on the use of steel. Nemetschek
is leading in software technologies in construction: from Design2Cost, roundtrip
engineering through to automated fabrication and project management.

Through integrating pre-design software tools, by communication to the respective
clients and interested professionals and by marketing activities both companies agree to
work out campaigns for cross promotion of respective technologies. ArcelorMittal and
Nemetschek will share technology on design, cost estimation and Eurocodes regulations.

"ArcelorMittal has extensive research know-how on detailed design methodologies for a
variety of steel building parts, such as Cellular Beams, composite beams and floor systems
which are of great practical use to the engineers wanting to design with them," says
Jacques Hoffmann, Manager of the Long Carbon Europe Research Centre.

Bruno Theret, head of Global Marketing BCS at ArcelorMittal, adds: "Transfer of knowhow
promotes the best use of steel at the largest number of clients, architects, designers,
steel contractors, worldwide. The international network of both companies ArcelorMittal
and Nemetschek is a guarantee for reciprocal promotion and increased visibility. This
partnership will enable Nemetschek's clients to have access to ArcelorMittal solutions and
"niche products". It should also increase the use of steel in construction and generate
added value for the whole steel branch."

"ArcelorMittal has made a preferential choice towards deploying the SCIA steel design
software of Nemetschek for assisting its commercial branches that help the architects and
engineers to adopt steel solutions in their projects," quotes Dr. J.P. Rammant, head of the
Nemetschek Engineering Group. ArcelorMittal recognises the superior quality of the
Nemetschek design software for steel structures.

Mr. Ernst Homolka, CFO and spokesman of the Nemetschek AG Board, adds: "This
cooperation is an example of how industry leaders can push technology innovations in
a specific market such as construction. It will support the expansion of both companies
into new regions and international markets."
