Acquisitions in Belgium and Hungary

The Nemetschek Group completed two important strategic acquisitions last year. Both companies have proven to be profitable and show excellence in growth. In February 2006, Nemetschek acquired SCIA International NV in Belgium and became the No. 1 player in Europe for integrated civil engineering software (CAD / CAE). In December, the group successfully acquired a majority interested (54.3%) in the Hungarian company Graphisoft SE. With the CAD programs Allplan, VectorWorks and Archicad, Nemetschek will in future occupy the leading position in the field of AEC software solutions (Architecture, Engineering, Construction). "With this acquisition, which is the largest in the history of Nemetschek AG, we are consolidating our position at the top of the industry", explains Homolka.

As announced by Graphisoft on February 12, 2007, Graphisoft's Construction division will be made into an independent company as part of a management buy-out. The Construction division is currently in the development phase and posted a negative net result in 2006. In future only the Architecture division of Graphisoft with an EBIT margin of 35% will leave. Around 92% of Graphisoft sales are generated by this division, and their top product Archicad.

Nemetschek with new innovative solutions and cooperations

In order to support its customers in their business processes as best as possible, Nemetschek is further consistently developing existing software solutions and counting on the collaboration with other leading companies.

Thus, Nemetschek and Adobe Systems Inc. will in future work more closely together. The two companies are consolidating their roles as technology leaders with the introduction of PDF as the format of the future for the exchange of data in the building industry. The aim of the strategic alliance is to optimize processes of architects and engineers. In future, all the products in the Nemetschek Group will be able to communicate with each other using pdf or pdf 3D. Nemetschek also entered into a strategic cooperation with Munich-based baulogis GmbH, an internationally active company in the field of Internet-based software solutions for the building and real estate industry. The cooperation encompasses product development, marketing and the expansion of Nemetschek's sales structures.

The complete annual report 2006 will be published on March 23, 2007 at the press briefing on annual results.
