What stays the same when you switch

Switching to subscription does not change how you work with ALLPLAN. Your projects, data, and settings remain usable – you continue in the familiar environment, enhanced with additional possibilities.
 

1. Projects and data remain intact 
Existing project files, libraries, templates, and individual settings remain compatible. There is no need to migrate or rebuild your data.

2. Your work continues without interruption 
The transition is designed so that ongoing projects can be continued. The switch does not mean a fresh start for your environment.

3. Local usage remains possible 
With subscription, ALLPLAN can still be installed locally and used offline. Cloud features complement your daily work but do not fully replace it.

4. Your familiar working environment remains 
You retain stability and predictability in your daily work while at the same time laying the foundation for future enhancements.

What will only be possible with subscription

Today, Serviceplus/SSA and subscription are still similar in many areas. Over the coming years, however, their scope of services will increasingly diverge. Subscription is the model we are aligning our ALLPLAN offering with for the long term, because this is where continuous innovation, platform development, and AI capabilities come together.

1. Always up to date through continuous updates 
Under Serviceplus/SSA, improvements follow annual releases. With subscription, you receive multiple updates per year and automatically stay up to date.

2. More options for collaboration 
Connected workflows, central model coordination, and cloud-based collaboration will be further expanded within the subscription model.

3. New technologies on subscription first 
AI-powered features, new platform services, and future integrations are delivered and continuously enhanced through subscription.

4. More support in your daily work 
Subscription extends the scope of service with more direct support access and additional care services that go beyond today’s SSA level.

How Serviceplus/SSA will change over the next years

Whether you decide to switch now or not, the conditions and scope of Serviceplus/SSA will change significantly over the next few years.

Rising SSA costs

SSA fees will increase significantly every year in the future. With subscription, large, unpredictable upgrade costs are replaced by a simple, predictable annual fee. 

Standalone tools stop evolving

ALLPLAN Share, ALLPLAN Exchange, and ALLPLAN Workgroup Manager will no longer be developed as separate products. On subscription, all these tools are included and continue to evolve. 

New features only with subscription

New developments, cloud services, and AI-powered features will be provided exclusively through subscription. Under SSA, the scope of services will increasingly be limited to maintenance and critical fixes.

Timeline: SSA and Subscription until 2029

Until Sept 2026

New perpetual licenses for ALLPLAN Ultimate and new SSA contracts will only be offered until 30 September 2026.

From Oct 2026

New cloud and subscription features will continue to be expanded. Standalone solutions such as ALLPLAN Share and ALLPLAN Exchange will be phased out in their current form from further development.

From Oct 2027

Existing collaboration components such as Workgroup Manager will gradually lose compatibility with new versions.

Until Sept 2029

Existing SSA contracts will end on the 30 September 2029. Without switching, perpetual licenses remain on the last supported version.

Yes. When you convert to ALLPLAN Subscription, you lose access and rights to your perpetual licenses.

No. Once your subscription is cancelled and the term ends, you automatically lose access to the software and services.

No. Cloud services are included with subscription, but you have the choice not to use them.

With subscription, you have access to the successor or integrated collaboration solutions that gradually replace today’s standalone products. Your current collaboration setup is not switched off; instead, it is moved into an environment that continues to be developed functionally.

Yes, you can continue to use your standalone perpetual ALLPLAN Workgroup Manager licensed product. ALLPLAN 2027 (released in October 2026) will be the last release of standalone ALLPLAN Workgroup Manager, which will be supported until October 2027. The standalone ALLPLAN Workgroup Manager product enters Discontinued Maintenance in October 2027 and will not be compatible with version ALLPLAN 2028.
