Appointment will play an important role in supporting ALLPLAN’s growth strategy in the US

Munich, September 16, 2021 – ALLPLAN, a global provider of Building Information Modeling (BIM) solutions for the AEC industry, has appointed Michelle McCarthy as the Regional Manager for the Americas and the President of their US operations with effect from August 2, 2021. She will report to the Senior Vice President of Sales at ALLPLAN, Joffrey Spinetti.

Michelle joins ALLPLAN from SDS2 where she has over 16 years of extensive sales experience. She will be in effect additionally taking over from Stuart Broome, SDS2’s previous CEO, who is the new Chief Customer Officer at Bluebeam Inc., another Nemetschek Group brand. Following the merger of ALLPLAN and SDS2 in June this year, ALLPLAN’s existing US team and SDS2 team will be combined and completely integrated by 2022.

In her role as Regional Manager, Michelle will be responsible for defining and implementing ALLPLAN America’s sales and marketing strategy to strengthen the ALLPLAN presence in the steel fabrication, structural, and infrastructure engineering and construction markets, as well as the precast concrete and rebar fabricators segments. In her additional role as President, Michelle will work with the ALLPLAN executive team to ensure an exciting and successful operation within the USA. She will also be focusing on the integration of the SDS2 and ALLPLAN sales, marketing, and technical support teams to maximize business efficiency by leveraging the synergies between these two complimentary teams.

Michelle joined SDS2 (then Design Data) in 2005 as a Sales Representative. Her focus on building strong customer relationships led to her promotion to Strategic Sales Manager, before eventually taking over as Director of Sales Operations and then Vice President of Revenue Operations at SDS2. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism and Related Programs from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, as well as a Master’s degree in Management from Doane University.
