Serviceplus/SSA and Subscription with ALLPLAN

Transition from Serviceplus/SSA to ALLPLAN Subscription

Existing Serviceplus/SSA contracts will remain valid for the time being, while ALLPLAN is aligning its offering toward subscriptions in the long term. For existing customers, therefore, deadlines as well as economic and technical implications are relevant.

No Immediate Restrictions

Existing Serviceplus/SSA contracts can be renewed yearly until September 30, 2029. An immediate transition is therefore not mandatory. However, annual price increases of 15 percent are to be expected. You should take this into account in your future planning.

ALLPLAN Workgroup Manager, ALLPLAN Share & ALLPLAN Exchange

Standalone products such as ALLPLAN Share, ALLPLAN Exchange, and ALLPLAN Workgroup Manager are being phased out of further development as separate solutions. In the subscription environment, integrated collaboration features are available that functionally replace these solutions and are being further developed.

Consider deadlines

You can only purchase a new SSA Contract (with a perpetual license) until September 30, 2026. After that date, existing SSA contracts renew yearly until Sept. 30, 2029

The final release of ALLPLAN Workgroup Manager as a standalone solution will be available in October 2026. Starting in October 2027, ALLPLAN Workgroup Manager will no longer be supported and will not be compatible with the latest version, Allplan 2028.

Switch to subscription today

Experience the full power of ALLPLAN with latest updates and AI power by switching to the subscription model.

Switch to the subscription model recommended

With the switch to the subscription licensing model, the previous perpetual purchase license is discontinued, but functionality remains intact. Existing projects, data, libraries, and settings are generally retained when switching to the subscription model. A complex migration is usually not required.

ALLPLAN Ultimate can also be installed locally and used offline with a subscription. Cloud features are optional and enhance collaboration.

Planning and Next Steps

For the transition from SSA to Subscription, 12-month and 36-month terms are currently offered. Which option is suitable depends on your individual contract and usage situation.

Those who wish to assess their specific situation should consider the applicable deadlines, the annual price increases for SSA, and their own license structure together.

Frequently Asked Questions

ALLPLAN is aligning its portfolio toward subscription in the long term because this is where product development, platform services, and AI capabilities are being bundled. SSA and perpetual licenses remain valid for existing contracts, but they will no longer serve as the central model for future developments.

SSA combines your perpetual license with a service contract that includes updates at longer intervals and support. With subscription, you receive time-limited usage rights, ongoing feature updates, access to cloud services, and future AI capabilities in a single model.

No, there is no obligation to switch immediately. Existing SSA contracts will be renewed yearly until September 30, 2029. However, as the scope of SSA and subscription will diverge significantly over the next few years, we recommend planning the switch early.

All customers who currently use SSA contracts and/or perpetual licenses are affected, as these models will no longer be offered for new purchases in the future. Subscription customers are also affected if they additionally use SSA contracts or want to expand their usage.

When you switch to subscription, you give up the perpetual usage rights of your perpetual license. Your existing projects, data, and settings remain unaffected and can continue to be used with subscription.

After your subscription ends, you lose access to the software and the associated services. Your project data remains available and can be exported and documented, but it can no longer be actively edited in ALLPLAN.

SSA contracts will be supported until September 30, 2029, unless you terminate earlier. After that, these contracts will end and no further SSA renewals will be available; without switching, perpetual licenses will remain on the last supported software version.

When switching from SSA to subscription, we currently offer 12-month and 36-month terms. Your ALLPLAN contact will clarify with you which option is suitable and which conditions apply in your case.

Yes, many customers combine SSA and subscription during a transition phase, for example for different locations or teams. Your contact will support you in defining a sensible split and a medium-term transition plan.

In general, we use your existing setup as the starting point so that your teams can continue working as usual. As part of the transition, we review together with you whether and where adjustments make sense – for example, if you want to cover additional editions or workstations with a subscription.

No, using ALLPLAN Cloud is optional. You can continue using ALLPLAN locally and decide on a project-by-project basis to what extent you want to add cloud services for collaboration and data management.

Your projects, data, libraries, and individual settings remain unchanged when you switch. In most cases, no extensive data migration is required; your existing environment forms the basis for continued work with subscription.

The transition is designed so that ongoing projects can continue. In coordination with your contact, a suitable time is selected so that your teams can continue working without significant interruptions.

Yes, ALLPLAN can also be installed locally and used offline with subscription. Cloud functions complement your work and are mainly intended for collaboration and data access across multiple locations, but they do not replace local use.

Standalone products such as ALLPLAN Share, ALLPLAN Exchange, and ALLPLAN Workgroup Manager are being gradually phased out as separate solutions. In the subscription environment, integrated collaboration functions are available that functionally replace and further develop these solutions.

You can continue using your standalone, perpetually licensed ALLPLAN Workgroup Manager product. However, ALLPLAN 2027 is the last version that supports the standalone ALLPLAN Workgroup Manager; from ALLPLAN 2028 onward, this solution will no longer be available and will be replaced by subscription-based alternatives.

There are time-limited offers for switching from SSA to subscription, with different terms, discounts when changing editions, and price guarantees over several years. Your ALLPLAN contact can provide details on the offers currently available.

The key dates to keep in mind are September 30, 2026 as the last day for new SSA contracts and perpetual licenses of ALLPLAN Ultimate only, and September 30, 2029 as the end date for existing SSA contracts. In addition, products such as for example ALLPLAN Workgroup Manager, ALLPLAN Share, and ALLPLAN Exchange as standalone licenses will also expire. Product Lifecycle

Your personal ALLPLAN contact is the first point of contact for all questions regarding contracts, licenses, and possible switching options. Alternatively, you can use the contact form on our website; your inquiry will then be forwarded to the responsible team.

With ALLPLAN Subscription, you can generally adjust the number of workstations more flexibly to meet your needs; any increases or decreases will be coordinated with your ALLPLAN contact person within the agreed contract terms.

Your existing projects, data, and settings will be preserved during the transition, so that your usual workflows and BIM interfaces can generally continue to be used; at the same time, Subscription lays the foundation for future features and collaboration tools.
